Oil analysis programme
We know that when it comes to lubricants, product performance is really important. So we’re proud to offer a sophisticated oil analysis programme to help determine the condition of our lubricants while they’re working.
The programme involves a series of physical and chemical tests of lubricants in service. Your results can then be used to confirm the suitability of the product, as well as determine the optimum time periods for preventative maintenance activities. And to catch any problems in the early stages – before equipment grinds to a halt.

Simon Willats - Regional Sales Manager
Simon has worked in the lubricants industry for more than 10 years. He has been with Z since 2016, most recently as the National Sales and Operations Manager for Z’s retail network, and prior to this as the National Sales Manager for Caltex Lubricants between 2018 and 2023 managing both direct sales and distributor channels. Simon invests in relationships and the results for your business follow.

Glen Keane – Regional Sales Manager
Glen joined the Caltex Lubricants team in early 2025. After 25+ years as a diesel technician, he moved into Truck Sales and Workshop Branch Management ten years ago. Based in Mount Maunganui, Glen's territory covers from the Bay of Plenty and South Waikato to the bottom of the North Island.

Frank Wong - Technical Support Specialist
Frank has worked in the oil industry for over 30 years, specialising in fuel quality and other technical related roles. Frank oversees the company’s lubricant technical activities which includes providing technical support and product recommendations to the sales and marketing team, distributors and customers.
He also oversees the used oil analysis programme, keeping abreast of industry and manufacturer requirements and developments to ensure we have what we need, when we need it.

Gemma Hall – Lubricants Manager
Gemma has worked at Z Energy for 8 years in the legal team with over 12 years experience as a practicing lawyer, before moving into the role of Lubricants Manager in August 2023. Gemma has a wealth of Commercial Customer, Supplier and Distributor knowledge and experience having worked with the Commercial and Lubricants teams in her role as Senior Legal Counsel. Gemma manages both the Caltex lubricant distributor network throughout New Zealand and our national sales team.
