Earthquake Update

Wednesday 30 November, 12pm

Our Caltex Kaikoura service station is once again open to the public. Civil Defence have lifted fuel restrictions that were in place to make sure emergency services had enough fuel for relief efforts and lifesaving services. Caltex Kaikoura has been open over the weekend and we’re told the community is pleased to have access to fuel again.

Wednesday 16 November, 4pm

We are relieved all our Caltex staff are safe after Monday’s earthquake. All Caltex service stations are open with plenty of fuel available except for Caltex Kaikoura.

Caltex Kaikoura is providing fuel to Civil Defence and rescue teams but at the moment it is closed to the public. Caltex Hanmer Springs is now operational with no restrictions or limits to fuel after the bridge into Hanmer reopened, the station is expecting a delivery this evening.

Our thoughts continue to be with those in Kaikoura and the surrounding regions and all the people working on the relief efforts.

Tuesday 15 November, 3.30pm

We are relieved all our Caltex staff are safe after yesterday's Earthquake.

All Caltex service stations are open with plenty of fuel available except for two in the hardest hit areas, Caltex Kaikoura and Caltex Hanmer Springs. Caltex Kaikoura is providing fuel to Civil Defence and rescue teams and Caltex Hanmer Springs has re-opened but to ensure there is enough fuel for everyone, customers are currently limited to 20 litres.

Visit Caltex NZ for enquiries and further updates.

Our thoughts are with the people in Kaikoura and surrounding regions.
